Why can't I change my phone number?

First, check to make sure you don’t have a toll free number listed in your Business Information section. If you do, your listing will default to this number.

If you checked and there is nothing, then you might have a web.com tracking number. Does the number begin with 877 or 866?  

877 or 866 Web.com Tracking Numbers
Your listing is a complimentary extension of your Web.com website package, which includes a unique local or toll-free business telephone number that routes directly to your existing business telephone number.  This unique number is the number featured on your MerchantCircle business listing.

This feature allows Web.com to provide detailed tracking on the number of phone calls you receive through this unique number on your website and your MerchantCircle directory listing. The number of those phone calls and the number of customer contact forms submitted via your website are reported on your Internet scorecard, along with other valuable information on the results of your website activity.

Removing a Web.com tracking number
Unfortunately there isn't any way for MerchantCircle to remove a web.com tracking number, since it was built into your listing when the listing was created. However, you can remove the listing entirely AND/OR create a new listing using your regular business number.
